Manya, a student of Mehr Chand Mahajan (MCM) College, has represented India at the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) held in Bhutan, marking a proud moment for the institution and the country. The programme brought together young participants from India and Bhutan with the aim of strengthening people-to-people ties and promoting cultural understanding between the two neighbouring nations.
The Youth Exchange Programme featured a range of activities, including cultural performances, interactive sessions, educational visits and adventure-based learning experiences such as trekking and outdoor exercises. These activities were designed to foster leadership skills, teamwork, mutual respect and a deeper appreciation of each other’s traditions and heritage.
During the programme, Manya actively participated in discussions on youth leadership, social responsibility and regional cooperation. She also engaged in cultural exchanges that highlighted India’s rich traditions while learning about Bhutan’s unique culture, values and way of life.
Officials associated with the programme said that such exchanges play a vital role in building long-term friendships and cooperation between young people of the two countries. They noted that participants act as cultural ambassadors, carrying forward the spirit of goodwill and collaboration.
